Lync can also be controlled entirely from the free Lync App. But when installed with LyncTouch keypads, Lync provides a full-featured intercom with both point-to-point and point-to-all capability. In addition to 6 centrally located sources, one source (TV, smart phone, Alexa Dot, gaming system, music streamer, etc.) can be connected within each zone using an audio input panel. LyncTouch controllers also allow you to take advantage of Lync’s built-in, amazing sounding intercom. Microsoft Teams replaced Lync, and it has all the features of Lync plus powerful capabilities that make it easier to connect, share, and collaborate across devices and locations. You can join the audio or video, and IM (if it’s turned on in the meeting) portion of a Lync Meeting from Lync for Android. When you join from a mobile device, you can only hear the meeting audio and see the video of other participants (if it’s being shown). Starting a Lync audio conversation involves creating a conversation with a local and remote participant and connecting to the remote participant using the participant’s audio/video modality. To complete this procedure, you must handle state change events on both the client’s ConversationManager instance and the conversation itself. To join a Lync Meeting from the Lync meetings screen, select the meeting that you want to join, and then tap Join Meeting or tap the meeting hyperlink. You can join a Skype for Business meeting on your mobile device without signing in to Skype for Business or even having a Skype for Business account. We recommend that you install the Skype for Business app before the meeting. You’re logged in as a user who hasn’t been granted a license for Lync.

Presets allow you to create and save audio “scenes” that can be launched from a single press of a button. An optional audio input panel can be installed within each zone . Run Cat cable from the input panel to the LyncTouch, or if no LyncTouch is available run Cat cable to the central location. Pre-packaged Lync systems include enough power for up to 4 speakers per zone. But if that’s not enough, both a variable and fixed output is provided for every zone so that you can easily add amplification for as many speakers as you need.

How to use lync for video conference
You can also add video to an existing instant messaging conversation. Simply click the camera icon in the window to start your video. If you have to leave a Lync Meeting temporarily, or get disconnected for any reason, you can rejoin it by clicking the Rejoin button in the notification message or the conversations screen.

Use the LyncTouch keypads to not only control a zone, but also to communicate on a global and zone-to-zone basis. Sound quality is outstanding since the audio you hear comes through the same speakers used for music, TV, and other audio sources. In the Chat tab, tap the new conversation icon in the top-right – it looks like a pen and paper. Select the New Call icon and select the people you’d like to video chat with.
Each speaker includes weather-resistant components, stainless steel hardware, and the smaller powder-coated aluminum grille will not rust. The swivel tweeters are recessed behind the grille so the speakers look perfectly flush, even though the most directional frequencies are aimed where you need them. The meeting leader can control access to the meeting, or admit someone who doesn’t have the correct meeting credentials. For those who think Skype for Business is just Lync Rebranded, think again. Skype for Business is much wider in scope and appeal, as compared to Lync.

Volume for these additional speakers is controlled as part of the main zone or independently through the use of rotary or slide-type volume controls. Connecting the Lync controller to the multi-channel amplifier is easy using standard RCA-patch cables . LyncTouch are plugged in using standard RJ-45 connectors on the Cat 5/6 cables .
